Did you know God cares deeply about your health? He reminds us to treat our bodies as temples.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

God also highlights the purpose and motivation to have good health, both physically and spiritually.

3 John 1:2: "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well."

God wants the best for each of us.  He desires all to go well for us. However, if we're unhealthy physically or spiritually, life will not go well, and sooner or later we pay a high price.

Each of us is running our own race in life. But as believers in Christ, we run with great purpose. We run with a single-minded goal that reaches beyond this world. We run to obtain the eternal prize.  Life is full of strict training. But those who train in faith, are crowned with the glory of heaven and they dwell forever with the ultimate prize: Christ himself.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Both spiritual and physical health require regular training in order to make gains and attain true transformation.

1 Tim. 4:8 Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.

Lets do our best to run our race both spiritually and physically healthy. When we do, we reap the benefits in this present life and eternally.
